FAQ

How long does a mini DC UPS last?
The backup duration depends on the connected load. For example, a device drawing around 3W might run for up to 150 minutes, while at a full 18W load, you can expect about 15 minutes of backup time. Actual times can vary based on battery condition and operating environment.

What can a mini UPS power?
A mini UPS is designed to support a variety of 12V DC devices including routers, modems (even fibre optic ONTs), VOIP phone systems, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other critical telecommunications equipment.

Should I keep my mini UPS plugged in all the time?
Yes, it’s best to keep the mini UPS plugged in. It’s engineered to automatically manage battery charging so that it’s always ready to provide backup power in the event of a power failure.

Can a UPS be used as a power bank?
While the mini UPS does offer backup power, it is optimized for emergency operation of connected devices rather than serving as a portable power bank for charging gadgets like smartphones or tablets.

Do I need to replace my UPS battery?
Over time, the lithium-ion battery will naturally degrade after many charge cycles. It’s advisable to monitor the backup duration; if you notice a significant drop or the battery fails to hold a charge, it may be time to replace the battery.
