In an aged care facility the the Safe life monitor would normally be set for silent and as the resident lifts themselves off the bed care staff will be notified via the facility’s nurse call system.  As the resident is returned to the bed the system will automatically re-arm making less work for the carer and not having to think about doing this manually. The carer can also disable the alarm for a period of 30 seconds to allow the resident to be moved without the alarm going off, after which time it will automatically re-arm itself as the resident is returned to bed. Operating off of a power pack (supplied) or batteries, the Safe Life monitor is value for money and a top selling product.
